First World Problems

I really wanna shake my head and facepalm (Oh wait...is facepalm 1 or 2 words?NOOOOO *cries in corner*) when I see all the Facebook/Instagram statuses of first world problems..

"Should I buy the dress with this colour or that colour? Please comment!!"
"What colour should I dye my hair?"
"Need more clothes!"
"College ugh"
"No more school but I still have to wake up early to send my bro/sis to school"

Then there are PRETTY girls who complain they are ugly, there are SKINNY people who complain they are fat, there are people with BIG eyes who complain they have small eyes.

It just struck me just now that we're so blessed to be ABLE to HAVE first world problems. It only shows that we are so worry-free that we CAN worry about these trivial matters. I think saying that these are trivial is already overrated. If we lived in Libya or Syria or some other war-torn place, we wouldn't even have the right to complain about our sock colour or something.

Time for self-reflection though. I myself "have" first world problems everyday. Oh wait Malaysia is a Third World country so Malaysians should say 'third world problems'. Thanks to Rene for bringing up first world problems in our Whatsapp conversation (Oh, thank God for Whatsapp! :D) just now when she complained about not knowing what to eat for dinner, and then later complained about her stupid chicken rice and bad service and no barley and no steamed drumstick at SCR..HAHAHAHA.

Oh no I really want to drink barley peng now T^T hmm but I have ze delicious full cream milk in the fridge. Ok thank God.

Ok I wanna slap myself everytime I "get" a first world problem starting now. Gotta be grateful for all the things God has blessed me with! College has been smooth, SO MUCH HOMEWORK UGH UGH UGH PFFT NOW I CAN'T FACEBOOK 5 HOURS A DAY, friends have been super nice! Went to YMCA's Shiok Cafe with Samantha, Kim and Ravneet! Housemates are super nice. Had leftover Dominoes Pizza for dinner tonight woohoo! Was my first time trying out online delivery! Just now Charin and I were complaining about having no rain in KL, and a few seconds ago I just heard a thunder :D

God is good :)
