I wanted to have lunch.
There were 2 dishes prepared already and both of them are spicy. I asked the tauke uncle whether they had any others.
Tauke(I almost spelt tauge): Later got xiaobaicai (small white vege?) and the (I think he said something like) bo cho fried with egg
Me: Hah? What bo cho?
Tauke: You don't know bo cho? -asks another aunty- How to say bo cho in Mandarin? -talks to me- Neh the long long one, cut into small pieces..?
Me: Uhhhhh is it the thing in Char Kueh?
Tauke: Ah ah ah ah (yes) Eh you don't understand Hokkien ah? How to survive in Kuching?
Me: Mandarin loh!
Tauke: What is bo cho in mandarin?
Me: I don't know
Tauke: -,-

Hahahha I love fani people. They light up the world. Of course I only love funny people who are funny in a good way lah.
O_O Okay lah funny people who are funny in a bad way is NOT FUNNY!
By the way, that bo cho omelette was GREATLY GREATLY DELICIOUS! Eggs are a great creation of God. Tauke if you're reading this now, your omelette was really great. Uh...that is quite impossible.
OH BY THE WAY! Congratulations to me because...I EAT OMELETTES NOW!
OMELETTES ARE EGGS! But...I still don't eat the others. I only eat omelettes. I don't eat boiled egg, half-boiled egg, half fried egg, raw egg, no. Just omelettes.
Was it, ba cho or bo cho or bo cha or what I dunno. Can someone tell me what 's that crispy square thing in char kueh called in Hokkien?

I wonder whether I can really survive in Kuching without understanding Hokkien. Heeh.
I better start with Foochow first. Now who's going to practice Foochow with me? PaPa I don't want to practice with you yet. Feels weird practicing with you.
Friends please! Doris the Foochow come practice with me?
Nu eh ho meh?
Smile at your own risk.
