China 301110-081210

It was a very tiring trip just GETTING to Hang Zhou.
Hang Zhou was having bad weather when we were about to land there, the airport didn't allow the plane to land. Hence our plane flew to Hong Kong which took 2 hours to refill its tank. We didn't even get off the plane in HK. I only got the chance to look at Hong Kong's AIRPORT through the plane's windows. O.O Then. Guess what, we flew all the way back to KL again. Once we landed in KL, the pilot said "Now we are about the fly back to Hang Zhou." Gah it was a bad experience being sitting in the plane for more than 15 hours. Feels unhealthy.

Ok cut short the unhappy flying experience.

We finally arrived in Hang Zhou!
I tell you, Hang Zhou is a very very beautiful place.

The weather was awesome. 16 C.

Many of the people there drive something that looks like motorbike but runs on rechargeable battery. Save the earth!
The weather was good, but talking about the food there..hmm hmm. The food in every restaurant we went were similar. Fish, tau fu, corn, pau, brinjals, eggs,.. go to China and see for yourself. Eating the same food repeatedly. Bleh.

西湖

This is the academy 梁山伯 and 祝英台 went to. Legend says that both of them are romantically connected but truth is, it's impossible because 祝英台 is 600 years older than 梁山伯. HAHA!

another maple leaf!

you should go to Hang Zhou :O

isn't God awesommmmme

Choose one. :D

Warning: The black one tastes like burnt jagung.

I have too many pictures and I can't upload all of them, nor can I summarize everything into this post so everything is not organized while I'm typing right now..
they have these bikes for rent and one needs to have a touch-n-go card to use the bike and then they go to a counter to pay once they return the bike. I don't know why people don't just drive the bike away and don't return it though.

at a tea garden.

The people in China use new cars. I see no vintage cars. All of the cars are new and shiny @.@
As you can see, there's a Chinese word in front of the car plate.
浙- Hang Zhou
苏- Su Zhou
沪- Shang Hai

some kind of sticky cake.

Wu Zhen- 乌镇
乌镇 has 6000 years of history but the buildings are only 300 years old.

乌镇's wine
I got to try it but me no likey.

Oh and I forgot to say that it's like Venice!

Sunset. Since it's winter, it gets dark when it's around 4:30 pm. It looks just like 6 pm in Malaysia :O

I forgot where this is already.
The biggest LCD screen on earth!

南京
中山凌- Dr Sun Yat Sen's burial place. 392 steps. Thousands of people.

shopping shopping shopping shopping shopping

since it's winter (again) they only sell winter clothes and boots so I had no clothes to buy. boo. Bought a pair of ear rings, a winter jacket that was discounted from 1000+yuan to 140 yuan.

江南大桥-JiangNan Yangtze Bridge. There's quite some history behind the making of this bridge, 960 people actually died while building this bridge.

万人坑-
In the past, the Japanese attacked NanJing because it was the capital of China. 300,000 people died and are buried there. Saw remains of 200 people. Some skeletons have bullet holes in their skull and nail wounded holes in their bones. Ouch.

Wu Xi - 无锡
Movie set of the movie 三国演义 at 三国城

Posing with one of the "warriors". They are super unprofessional. I saw the other one blink, look around, move around, scratch his armor,.. -,-

1-9 in mandarin

Aaah this time it was getting colder because of the strong winds. Around 9 C.

上海外滩- Shang Hai

-SWFC Observatory: 492 meters.

View of ShangHai from SWFC Observatory

in the elevator.
that elevator is super fast it's like 10 meters per second o.o

China was fun! Sometimes it's cold, super troublesome to wear all those layers of clothes. The second I arrived in KL I thought: I love Malaysia's weather.

Well ,that thought only lasted for a few hours..

I went to quite a few places: 杭州,南京,苏州,乌镇,无锡。Only with mum and dad because all the other siblings are not in Malaysia and Amy will be having exams soooo..but I really hoped Amy was there because some places are SOOO pretty and it would be such a great photography opportunity you know! Gahhh you don't understand.

Oh and I hate bargaining in China. It's so crazy they ask for 400 yuan for something that is only worth maybe, 80 yuan. But my family are bad at bargaining so I don't think we made very good bargains.

This blog post is not very informative because I don't know how to summarize everything into this small space but this trip to China was awesome. It's my first trip out of Malaysia except Brunei too. Nice. Now I have a better picture of China in my head.

Have fun!

Smile at your own risk.
