LOL he just said gtg a few seconds ago, so he's probably being "surprised" by his friends NOW!
My brother left to study in U.S 2 years ago. He's turning....(lemme think)..22. He kind of had TWO birthdays because people were already wishing him a happy birthday on Facebook on 20th September (Malaysian time). Now it's 12:04 p.m, which is 12:04 a.m. there right now, so he's celebrating his REAL birthday right now.
Haven't seen him for a long time. 2 years lo. Dunno whether he got Americanized or not. Last year, my sister Amy and I made a birthday card for him. We spent an afternoon on it, choosing a young picture of him, cutting out his face and pasting it into the "washing machine" we drew.
Guess what? The card got lost during the delivery. Amy and I were very very very upset.
The moral of the story is, next time when you want to send an item, remember to register it, so that it's MORE guaranteed.
Now that Alan's in U.S and Alvin's in Australia, Amy's in....KEDAH, I'm STILL in Kuching, I dunno when all of us will have a reunion. Dunno whether they'll come back to Kuching. THEY HAVE TO.
You may have realised that the title of this post is "Happy Birthday Leng Ko".
Leng Ko is a name my sister and I call my brother Alan (Leng for Lan in the ALan).
As for Alvin, we call him Vin Ko (sometimes I say Vin Ko Bingo Vin Ko Bingo).
As for Amy, I call her Ajia (it means sister in Foochow).
As for me, they call me.... Ajiling.
I DUNNO WHY AND HOW!
By the way, Leng Ko, why are you sitting at the Priority Seating?Smile at your own risk.
