DONE WITH THE BM! So not used to it. Just now I wikipedia-ed "Assalamualaikum", and I've got some good stuff for you.
As-Salāmu `Alaykum (السلام عليكم) is an Arabic spoken greeting used by Muslims as well as non-Muslim Arabic speakers, Christians and Jews. The term Salam in Arabic means "Peace". The greeting may also be transliterated as Assalaamu 'Aleykum. It means "Peace be upon you". The traditional response is wa `Aleykum As-Salaam, meaning "and upon you be peace."
Used by Christians! Did you see that? Anyway, Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all muslim friends. WAIT--I don't have muslim friends.Oh well. Selamat Hari Raya to everyone. Assalamualaikum!
Thanks for smiling!
